Our Story
Two candle lovers in New York City
We light one almost every night — to breathe, to cook, to talk, to think. It became part of our ritual. But with time, we started noticing the waste: too many tea lights tossed out, wax stuck to containers, flames that didn't last.
So we created Tula — a candle made of pearled sand wax, refillable and ready to shape however you like. The name comes from El Cuarto de Tula, the Cuban song where a room catches fire from a candle left burning, and the Sanskrit word for balance.
